Operating Activities of POE

Topographic Survey for Terrain Analysis

It is a type of survey that maps the boundaries features and level of a terrain. It used to identify the exact location and specification entities on the earth’s surface. Topographical survey can be done using different instruments like Drone, DGPS (Differential Global positioning System), Total Station, GPS (Global Positing System) and Abney level and clinometer. Maximus Accuracy can be attained as per the requirement.

Geological Investigations

It includes the identification and reporting lithological succession, structural peculiarities and surface extension of rocks with mineralization which will serve the economic importance of the area. The relevant studies for better bring out the geological information which will include detailed study of geomorphology and drainage patterns and their role in geological set up of the area.

Geological Investigation includes
  • Mineral Exploration and Geotechnical Aspects
  • Field study and Sampling
  • Topographical and Geological Mapping
  • Drilling and preparation of Lithologs
  • Geological Report based on G1, G2, G3 and G 4 axis
  • Feasibility Report based on F1, F2 and F3 Axis and Economic Axis as per IBM Guidelines
  • Engineering Properties of rocks

Hydrogeological Survey

Hydrogeological survey also referred to hydrogeological or groundwater survey, it is an investigation of the hydrological and geologic parameters at the subsurface level in a particular area. Hydrogeological maps may be articulated with the data gathered during a study.

Hydrogeological Investigation study includes
  • Aquifer characterisation
  • Groundwater wells inspection
  • Groundwater catchment study
  • Groundwater modelling
  • Pumping and tracing tests
  • Permeability tests
  • Karst study

  • Detection of underground water & evaluation of available water resources for long terms.
  • Water conservation, rain water harvesting and dewatering of mines.
  • Mathematical modelling for any nth year for ground water resources, Computer simulation etc.
  • Comprehensive ground water assessment in core & buffer zone for environment clearance studies and recharge proposals for ground water extraction for approval by Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA).
  • Process for authorized C.G.W.A. & consultant for the jobs Geological & Hydrological Survey.
  • Well Inventory

Remote Sensing & GIS Applications

Remote sensing is the process of detecting and monitoring the physical characteristics of an area by measuring its reflected and emitted radiation at a distance.

Remote Sensing study can be done using Airborne, Ground based and satellite data obtained from RS then can be analysed using appropriate software. These analyses further projected in the forms of various thematic maps. These maps depict all sorts of information related to terrain characteristics including,

  1. Soil types
  2. Vegetation distribution like forests, agricultural fields etc.
  3. Wetland features,
  4. Land characteristics,
  5. Rock out crops with associated economic mineral deposits
  6. Subsurface presence of groundwater with quality and quantity
  7. Geotechnical aspects of engineering small and large projects like dams, express ways, solar power plants and electric cable laying etc. & many more…

Using RS data and applying GIS software a comprehensive approach is directed towards many solutions.

At POE, our aim is to provide a complete problem solving, easy to understand and adoptable solutions to clients for their various requirements.
